At present, the market of school bus in China is still under development. There are about 80,000 to 100,000 vehicles used as school buses in China for transporting students from kindergarten, primary school and middle school. Yet there is no official rule to regulate the manufacture and operation of school buses. A report on student safety released by Ministry of Education showed that drowning and traffic accidents are the most deadly for students - accounting for more than 60 percent of the nation's total. More than 45 percent of students who are injured are hurt in traffic accidents.
