At 14:28, May 12th, 2008, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Wenchuan city, Sichuan province of China, causing enormous casualties and property losses. Having seen the homeless people, the rising figure of death and the ruins through the media, every one of us suffers from great pain as the people in quake areas.

Help came from all sides as soon as disaster struck. Higer Bus donated RMB100,000 to Suzhou Charity Community immediately after getting the news. On May 13th, the staff of Higer donated money without being organized and until now, the Higer labor union received RMB240, 000 from the staff. The love of Higer has converged to a warm stream which is pouring into the quake areas.

After the earthquake, Higer Bus tried to contact the Sichuan marketing branch, the service engineers, the central warehouses, the service stations, and the drivers on exhibition in Sichuan province. Higer expressed consolation and reminded them to be careful and calm. Meanwhile, they are encouraged to join in earthquake rescue and relief actively if possible, taking the blessings of Higer to Sichuan people.

The disaster is merciless, while human beings are merciful. It is the time to test the cohesion of our nation as well as the sense of social responsibility of Chinese bus industry, so Higer Bus has advocated the bus industry in China to take an action to help the victims to overcome the difficulties and rebuild their hometown.
