Reporter realized that totally seven Zhongtong coaches, including five super luxury pure electric coaches and two luxury tourist coaches are donated to Beijing Olympic Committee free in the name of Shandong Provincial People' Government, for offering special service to 'Good Luck Beijing' sports events, Beijing Olympics.
The pure electric coach can drive about 40 passengers, it is said that battery charged three hours per time can run over 250 kilometers according to some relevant test.
It is known that Zhongtong pure coach project started in 2005, and at the end of 2006, 'Olympic use of pure electric coach' was planed in 'the eleventh five years plan', namely '863 plan'. The obvious characters are energy saving and environmental protection.
