2006 with investing 25 million yuan in total. Yuchai shifted its focus to production,
including cost control, preparation, coherence of production process, etc., and
made it possible to put the National-4 engines into mass production. Now, it has
the capability of mass production of National-4 engines, and is working on parts
supply and the support service system after sale. Beijing
Olympic Games will be held on August 8, 2008 and the government had issued the
National-4 emission standard. It could bring huge demands of National 4 Engines.
The emission standard will be more and more strict, and the National-4 is to make
benefit in the future. Yuchai recognizes this opportunity and is looking at the
long-term benefit. To meet the National-4 emission standard, it was not just simply
add the electric control and post treatment on normal engines. The key point is
to optimize the whole structure of the engine production process from design to
production that needs thorough researches on new materials and engine mechanism.
