23-03-2007 On
March 1st, 2007, Chinabuses.com launched the second batch of China buses and coaches
industry visiting tour on time. The tour started in Beijing, and then we visited
Dingzhou, Zhengzhou, Xiamen, Wuxi, Yangzhou, Suzhou, Zhangjiagang, Shanghai. There
are nine bus and coach manufactories in our tour that is Beiqi Foton Motor Co.,
Ltd, Chang'an Group Chang'an Bus, Yutong Group Co., Ltd, Xiamen King Long United
Automotive Industry Co.,Ltd, Xiamen Golden Dragon Van Co., Ltd, Yangzhou Yaxing
Motor Coach Co., Ltd, Yangzhou Yaxing-Benz Coach Co, Ltd, Higer Bus Co.,Ltd, and
Mudan Automobile Shares Co., Ltd. During
the tour, we have an opportunity to face-to-face interview Mr. David Percival
who is the Managing Director from Kenya Vehicle Manufacturers Ltd (KVM). Through
take part in this tour, David gains many fruits and find many business opportunities
in China. The fast developments of China buses and coaches industry and road conditions
give him a very deep impression. Furthermore, David gives us a very high praise
and courage for this tour. It is also the strong power to us that push this friendly
visiting forward. I am very appreciative for visiting members of the second batch.
Thank you very much for your supporting us always and we also thank you for the
cooperative bus enterprises. David

Here
is the exclusive interview of KVM from Chinabuses.com: Journalist:
Good afternoon, David, welcome to join us, and thank you for your great trust
to Chinabuses.com. What is your main purpose to come to China? Could you tell
me your main targets? David:
Good afternoon, the main purpose here is to discover by visiting and talking if
there is a builder of buses in China who would already be producing a kit for
a bus body, for a front-engine, right hand drive chassis, preferably for one of
the chassis we already assemble. Journalist:
What kinds of partner do you prefer to develop through take part in this tour? David:
Through take part in this tour, we identified the two who are prepared to develop
a body for one of our chassis. If one and two are impossible, identify which of
the bus companies are potential partners for our two shareholders. There are a
lot of stunning bus franchises up for grabs, some of whom have huge depth of resources
to cope with sudden fluctuations in demand that we are going to see with the changes
in Kenya's law on buses of 14 seats, and we also see if we can develop a supplier
of vehicle grade steel, so that we can develop our own lighter bus body. Also
develop supply contacts so as to get all the right quality of bus ingredients,
so as to upgrade the product we are developing for the Kenyan market. Fortunately,
in the visit to the BAAV show, we meet suppliers of every element in the buses
we build, and now have in China contacts for the vast majority of the parts we
require. We can now set up purchase of the same in some quantity, to fulfill the
needs of our current purchasing of buses. This can start immediately. So, this
tour is very useful and very high efficiency Journalist:
Through take part in this tour, you visit nine buses and coaches manufacturers.
How do think the information capacity that you gain? David:
Of course, I get lots of useful information. It can be seen that we have met each
and every requirement I set out to achieve in China. There is a load of information
which of course makes up the report back to base on each days visit to a factory,
added to which we have presentations from some, and CDs from others and brochures
from all of them, including some bus companies which I only met at the BAAV show.
There will be a need once back in Kenya to give a briefing to both CMC and DTDobie
on what came up in the visit, and let them decide if they want to take any action
in their own right, based on what this set of information contains. Journalist:
How do think about this tour and could you give Chinabuses.com some advices? We
hope our tour that we organize better and better in the near future. So, your
advice is very useful and very important for us. David:
I would like to thank Chinabuses.com and all its associates for the positive contribution
you are making to link China to Africa, and wish Chinabuses.com well in the future
operations. Chinabuses.com is ready to host future visits in order to linking
potential partners to the Chinese buses industry and highly professional in all
your undertakings. It was even interesting in whom they did not care to introduce
us to, as their position is that some businesses do not keep their word. When
this happens, Chinabuses.com does not bother to set up arrangement to visit them.
"My word is my bond" is where this company is coming from in its dealings.
There is also a business Chinatruck .org, which does the same service on trucks.
I am looking for what is done on passenger cars, as there must be a similar service
there. Journalist:
Thank you very much. Your advice is very appreciated for us. Through our efforts,
we hope that you have great business in China. Hoping to see you in China again. David:
Thank you very much. Chinabuses.com
