The
Third China Changchun Auto Parts Trade Fair will take place from June 30 to July
3 at the Changchun International Convention and Exhibition Centre in the capital
city of Jilin Province. The
event is jointly sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International
Trade, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, and the Changchun municipal
government. With
the theme of "Auto parts: driving force for automobile development",
the fair aims to serve as a platform for technical exchange and trade negotiations,
seeking to push further growth of the auto parts sector and promote development
of the automobile industry. It
is also expected to contribute to the revitalization of Northeast China's industrial
bases. The
fair will cover a total area of 70,000 square metres with more than 1,600 booths
in six exhibition halls. It will have five sections exhibition, business talks,
forums, competitions and business tours. The
exhibition section will include auto components and accessories, vehicle equipment,
maintenance and checking facilities, passenger vehicles and modified vehicles. More
than 1,000 firms from around 20 countries are expected to participate in the fair. They
will present latest products and technologies, providing visitors with a glimpse
of future industry trends. Many
companies also plan to go in for an image revamp before attending the high-level
event. This
event will make greater efforts to help exhibitors strike deals. To
create an easy and comfortable atmosphere, the organizing committee will set up
a special section for business talks. The move, part of a package of services
offered by organizers to exhibitors, will facilitate the advance of business negotiations. Furthermore,
organizers revealed that they plan to invite purchasing groups of auto manufacturers
from various countries and regions to the fair, such as the European Union, the
United States, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, as well as China's Hong Kong
Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province. The
possibility of big orders from these purchasers will provide additional enticement
for exhibitors. However, only those capable of providing high-tech and environmentally
friendly auto parts that satisfy industry's needs will sign deals. A
number of competitions related to the automobile industry, covering maintenance
skills, modifying vehicles, auto decoration and driving skills, will also be held
during the event. These
will showcase exhibitors' professional skills and give the audience a chance to
better understand them. In
addition, the organizing committee will arrange for business tours to the First
Automobile Works' plants and the Changchun Auto Industry Park, a national auto
base, seeking to promote exchange and understanding between exhibitors. The
second China Changchun Passenger Vehicle Show, part of the fair, will be held
simultaneously with the auto parts exposition. Covering
a total area of 30,000 square metres, the show will have on display latest models
from well-known auto brands.
